Project Overview and Challenges

The Kittwell Channel needed a revamp to be part of the online marketing strategy to build a community and get new leads for the new products/services.

  1. With less than 100 subscribers, it wasn’t bringing in views or interactions on the channel. Total subscribers acquired between Jan-Sept 2020 was 51.
  2. While the usefulness of the content created was undeniably great, it wasn’t reaching the right audiences. The channel got a total of only 6.4K Views over 9 months.
  3. The videos needed a fresher, more engaging treatment to improve on audience watch times which at the time stood at 3:05 minutes.

Strategy & Planning

The first step we took was to define what ‘success’ was. Combining the long term goals of the company with the healthy organic growth of the Youtube channel was paramount.

Study of competitor and similar Youtube Channels, we built a framework for design and execution for building the Kittwell Channel.

Creation Process

The other side of the planning was the process and frequency of the video creation itself. We agreed to produce one video per week. The publishing day was based on the audience engagement on Kittwell’s Facebook and Mailing List.

The Solution

Quality Video Editing & Branding

The video editing process also included design of new graphic elements, overlays matching Kittwell’s branding. This was essential for the harmonious presence across multiple platforms on the internet. Advised Kitti on building a Content Bucket based on Keyword research in order to be consistent and increase reach of videos. We agreed on a streamlined video recording and editing process. Using Google Drive (file sharing) and Canva (graphics & images) increased the efficiency and speed of editing.

Client also received basic training in video composition and lighting to ensure the recordings were of high quality. 

Channel Growth Strategy and SEO Performance

We applied YouTube Channel best practices including Channel Intro, Tags and related customizations. The Title and Description for each video was optimized meticulously for maximum scores on all important parameters including keyworks in Title, Description and Tags.

We also utilized relevant YouTube features like Cards and End Screens for improving viewer engagement.

Video Thumbnail Art was updated for bettering CTR (Click Through Rates). This along with more Sidebar Video Suggestions, we started getting the desired results week after week.
